Getting Old

Peaches, my dog is moving slow.

She is around thirteen, has a bad hip, and is getting stubborn in her old age, but we love her.

Hope you have a friend like her in your life.

Doing Yoga

I've been trying to exercise more these days.

My husband bought me the Biggest Loser Yoga tape for Valentine's Day.

Most women wouldn't have been happy with the gift, but I had requested it so I could work on getting in shape.

I like it because it progresses from a simple workout to more intense as you get stronger.

The moves I've done before so it's not something wildly strenuous, just a nice heart-pumping workout that hopefully helps me stay in shape.

Have a great week,

Tina

Feeding the Dream

At times it is easy to lose touch with what's important to you.

The kids need to be taken to soccer, the dog to the vet, and you still haven't made it to the grocery store this week.

Yet, you'd promised yourself an hour at the gym to work off the extra pounds from the holidays or you want to spend a few minutes working on your book.

I believe that we as women like to think we need to do it all, so we don't always ask for help we need.

This week, I'm trying to remind myself not to take on to much ,and if I have a conflict in my schedule to ask for a little help from those who care about me.

Hope you have a great week,

Tina

History of Valentine's Day

Some people believe the day started in the 269 A.D. in the city of Rome.

But for me, it started when I started school. I'd never heard of the holiday until then. My parents weren't big on silly holidays, and I never can remember receiving a present or card for Valentine's from either of them.

If fact, I only remember my dad buying my mother a box of chocolate after my sister and myself begged him too. She didn't think much of it and shared the treat with us.

Maybe, that's the reason behind my parent's divorce, they didn't celebrate the little holidays in life to sustain their love.

Don't know.

But I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone I know a Happy Valentine's Day.

The love you give me all year long, feed my soul and makes my life worth living.

Thank you,

Tina

Second Month of the Year

How are you doing with your goals for this year?

Funny, I spent hours coming up with goals. Yet a little bout of the flu threw me off course for a week.

Not that I can't recover. It just amazes me how one little event can throw off your well laid plans.

Time to revise,

Tina

Best Game of the Year

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the Super Bowl Winners.

I have to say the game Sunday night was one of the best of the year. Not only did the players give it their all but the commercial were actually funny.

Now, I have to face six or seven month of no football. Basketball is not my game so I'll have to wait for the Stanley cup playoff before I can watch anything but golf on the sports channels.

Have a great week,

Tina
