Marketing Exec's Widow by @authortinagayle #CyberMonday Sale #99cents

"Some losses never heal you just slowly learn to carry the burden and shed a tear every now and then for the one you lost."

by Tina Gayle

Genre: Contemporary Romance with strong women fiction elements Four women...
One fatal car wreck...
Everyone's lives changed...

Marketing Exec’s Widow

Jennifer Larson, having lost her husband, friends and the perfect life she’d had plan, now faces the biggest challenge of her life, moving into an unplanned future. While the rest of the Executive Wife Club is still wallowing in the past, Jen is tempted into the future by a sexy chiropractor, Hagan Chaney.

But does he really love her or her money?

Excerpt:

“Lead the way, beautiful.” Hagan brushed his hand lightly across her back.

Hot tingles danced along her spine. Jen rushed forward. Whoa. As a new widow, she shouldn’t find the man attractive. Even if he was hot.

Drawing on her professional reserve, she stifled the urge to race up the stairs and slowed her pace. “I...uh...believe there are four rooms on the second level.”

The wood floor groaned under Hagan’s weight and his footsteps echoed through the empty house. “Any other houses in the area for sale?”

Reaching the landing, she sailed across and stopped by the first bedroom door. A brief glimpse revealed the same disappointing result as the space downstairs. “No, but there are a number of small towns nearby that might have what you’re looking for.”

An enticing male scent floated through the air, a second before a hand gripped the doorframe by her shoulder.

Every female gene sprang to attention at his close proximity.

Desire poured through her, drenching her with emotions she hadn’t felt in months, hell, maybe even years. Her knees wobbled and she staggered into the doorframe, but remained standing.

Hagan peered over her shoulder and blocked her retreat. “Not bad, if I want to have another office suite up here. I can tear out this wall and make a larger lobby, or close off the doorway and create another entrance into the room.” He wandered to the next bedroom.

She gulped in a quick breath and air screamed back into her lungs. The residual scent of his citrusy cologne flowed in too and prompted her out-of-control hormones to form images of him: lying in bed, on top of her, his chest nestled against hers, his lips a breath away from…

Oh, my, a year without sex and I’m losing it.

Craig, why didn’t you divorce me before you died?

Jen gathered her strength and followed Hagan through the house. The easy flow of his long limbs showed incredible grace for a big man. So tempting, yet, she couldn’t pursue him. Not now, not with everyone watching her, they expected her to act like a grieving widow. If she didn’t, they’d forever brand her as an unloving wife.

Jail, death, or powerless.

Excerpt.

“Do you realize you have a powerful energy field?” Saw spoke as if she hadn’t said a word.
Ace blinked. Her adopted Indian father had told her the same thing many times. A spiritual leader of his tribe, he had a connection to the other worlds in the universe. Few people she’d met outside the Native American community understood energy fields or auras. What should she say? Was this a trick to make her admit she had some type of evil powers? Then he’d feel justified in killing her.
“Yes, people have mentioned that before.” She tucked her bag under her arm readying herself to spring into action should he make any unexpected movement.
“You haven’t though been taught to control your abilities and become a full wizard.” His sentence, more of a statement of fact than a question, didn’t require an answer yet she couldn’t let it go.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. There are no such things as wizards and magic. Those are things for horror stories and fairy tales.” She voiced the opinion of every white person she’d ever met, stifling the truth of what she’d seen during her time with her adopted tribe.
Saw laughed.
The sound startled her and she leaned back. Her shoulders hit the back of the chair. She stared at the man.
Without trying, she suddenly noticed how energy pulsed around his body. A golden glow captured her immediate attention. The fear she’d harbor against him melted. She drew in a cleansing breath. The man had no desire to do her any harm. In fact he had only her best interest at heart.
How did she know that?
She straightened, easing deeper onto the chair. “You’re a shaman too, aren’t you?”
He grinned and raised an eyebrow of inquiry. “Similar, but not the same. For now, though, why don’t you tell me a little about yourself? Where did you pick up the entity residing within you?”
Ace shook her head, uncertain what the man was talking about. She had no other entity dwelling within her spirit. “I’m sorry. I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.”
He nodded. His piercing gaze nailed her, causing goose bumps to pop onto her skin. “All right, then tell me about your family. I believe your father and mother were killed when you were very young?”
The question revealed Mr. Harris had given Saw a brief history of her life thus far. “Yes, and then I lived with—” She paused not wanting to reveal the tribe she had belong to. They were good people and deserved to be left alone. “—a tribe of Indians for a while before I moved in with the minister and his wife.”
“That’s where Frank found you?”
“Yes.”
“And you had no desire to come here?”
She eyed him cautiously. If he she said yes, would he take offense? Again, the gold in his aura calmed her fears. Her mind formed a connection to her father. Saw wanted to protect her from others. Why? She didn’t have a clue. “I was happy there and saw no reason to leave.”
“Maybe, but here you are going to learn the power you truly possess.”
Ace frowned. Puzzling bewilderment gnawed at her gut. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

My Best Friend's Ex - #Free for a Few Days @authorTinaGayle #NewAdult #ASMSG

She loved him first, but her best friend married him. Now with their divorce, Brooke must choose between her best friend and the man of her dreams.

Brooke Janson has loved Garrett Sawyer since she met him on her first day of high school. Now, he’s free to love her too. Except, his ex-wife happens to be her best friend.

How can Brooke choose between a friend she’s known since kindergarten and the man of her dreams?

This is a complete short story with a HEA -  Free November 5 - 9

Available at amazon
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XAO176O

Here's a little snippet of the story-

Strolling down the grocery aisle, Brooke Janson spotted a familiar man dressed in black. Garrett Sawyer was the one person in the world, she didn’t expect to meet, see, or run into in a huge superstore.
Memories flooded through her mind, and she adjusted the spaghetti strap of her shirt.  Unable to pull her gaze from his lean, muscular frame encased in a black T-shirt and jeans, she silently wished she’d worn something sexier than an old pair of jeans and a tank top. She glanced down and remembered what she looked like in high school when they met.
As an overweight teen, she’d worked hard to get his attention, had even helped him pass a few classes.  They had become friends, and she’d decided he was everything she ever wanted in a man.
At the end of the school year, he’d left for college. After graduating, he’d returned. They had reconnected at a party where she introduced him to her best friend, Janet. They started dating and married not long after her first year of community college. Sadly, less than a year later, it ended in a divorce because she cheated on him with one of her classmates.
Suddenly unsure how to handle the situation, she choked out his name. To her ultimate horror, he turned.

His forehead wrinkled into a frown before he smiled and pushed his cart down the aisle. “Hello, Brooke.”

Diana's Cookbook - Around the World in 80 Meals #HolidayRecipe by @DianaLRubino

 photo _HolidayRomanceampRecipes_zpshpe8hgas.jpg
Authors, readers, cooks...we're getting to that time of year when we blow our diets...and I have something to contribute to your downfall!

My cookbook AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 MEALS came out last year, featuring seven fantasy cruises, with recipes from cruise menus. One of my favorites is Tiramisu which is something my heroine Vita Caputo (based on my great grandmother) of FROM HERE TO FOURTEENTH STREET (on sale soon) and BOOTLEG BROADWAY would have made.

Tiramisu

Ingredients
3 large eggs, separated
¾ cup sugar
8 ounces mascarpone cheese
½ cup heavy cream
2 cups espresso at room temperature
2 tablespoons sweet Marsala wine
6 ounces savoiardi (crisp Italian ladyfingers)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

Beat egg yolks and ½  cup sugar in a large bowl until thickened and pale.
Beat in mascarpone until barely combined.
Beat whites with a pinch of salt in a separate bowl until they barely hold soft peaks.
Gradually add remaining ¼ cup sugar continuing to beat whites until they barely hold stiff peaks. Beat heavy cream in a separate bowl until it barely holds soft peaks.
Gently fold cream into mascarpone mixture until thoroughly mixed.
Fold in egg whites.
Stir espresso and Marsala wine together in a shallow bowl.
Dip 1 savoiardi into espresso mix and for a few seconds each side.
Place dipped savoiardi in a 2-quart glass baking dish.
Dip 8 more savoiardi  and arrange in a snug layer in bottom of dish.
Spread half the mascarpone mixture evenly over dipped savoiardi.
Repeat process to make a second layer of dipped savoiardi and mascarpone.
Cover and chill 6 hours.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve.
