Stop and Smell the Roses Blog Bouquet

It is so easy to go by all the wonderful places around your house without stopping for a moment to appreciate the true beauty of nature.

My husband loves to take picture and we have visited a number of national parks such as Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon and others.

I believe it helps me to create the places in my books. I've learned to pick out the special items in a place that make them unique. Death Valley has sand dunes and to my surprise plants like African violets.

Today as you tour the different blogs I invite you to learn more about each author and find out what makes each one unique. As you can see by my blog, I love to travel.

Please leave a comment and win a copy of my e-book "Pregnancy Plan."

Winners will be announced tomorrow July 30.

Good Luck,

Tina

Love the photos! I'm a naturalist. The clouds on that peak are breath-taking. Have a wonderful week.

I love to travel, too! It's great to actually see the places where I set my stories. Really helps with setting the scene. Have a great day!

Hi Tina, I'm a nature freak too even though I'm in a suburb. Some cool places I've seen are Walden Pond and Yosemite National Park. The Grand Canyon and Bryce are incredible...and the red rocks of Sedona are the setting in a wip.

Best wishes.

I'm a complete picture addict - to the point that my kids tease me about both taking them and admiring them. Lovely pix on your blog! Thanks for participating in the "Rose" event! :-)

I love to find the simple things that make a location wonderful. It can be something as small as the daisies on the side of the road!

Great blog!

Beautiful photos.

My SIL is a nature and bird photographer. He just got back from a life-time adventure in Alaska. What started out being a 2-3 week stay ended up being 6 weeks. Long story short, it had something to do with the river still clogged with ice so boat transportation was out as were snowmobiles because the ground snow cover was gone.

His souvenir besides a large selection of photos was a Walrus Skull complete with tusks that he unearthed during a 24-hour hike along the shores of the Bering Sea! Amazing...I've only seen pictures of it but I'll get to see the real thing in about 3 weeks when I travel to MI for my annual summer visit.

Gosh, I keep hitting the back arrow to look at your pictures. It's like I've been there but I can't put my finger on the place. Does that ever happen to you? Thanks for posting a bit of travel nostalgia.

Tina, I'm sorry, but I didn't realize the blog event was for one day only. I missed out, but your post makes one think of their surroundings. The pics are beautiful!
