Montana
is a beautiful place. The view of the mountains reflects the rugged terrain
that adventurers have long to explore since the first day they were discovered.
Then you see the antelope grazing in the fields along the highway. The view across
the flat land, leaves you with no doubt as to why they call it Big Sky country.
The trip up to Great
Falls takes you off the beaten path when coming from the south. Immediately
upon arriving in the city, you are embraced with the warm welcome of a small
town. The parks dotting the landscape offers a relaxing view, but the water
flowing in the central river invites you to explore the name sakes of the city.
Five
major water falls run along the Missouri River and generate energy with hydroelectric
dams. The road leading along the river offers amazing views and tempts you with
the desire to get closer to nature. The trail between you and the river has you
stopping to explore the overlooks and soak in the sight and sound of the
unbelievable falls.
The struggle to break away from
such an amazing sight has you wondering when you'll be able to return. A few
hours or a few days, the city quickly puts its hooks in you and will someday
having you going back to enjoy it again.
If haven't been to Great Falls,
Montana, you might want to add it to your list of places to visit.
