Finding Your Writing Inspiration

Some people might find inspiration for a story by simply looking out their window and seeing the leaves fall from the trees. The color is wonderful and makes one think of crisp days and cool nights. Maybe even, the first fire since winter. Now what can you do in front of a fire?
Others might find inspiration in a book - a tale of war or romance that sparks a story of their own.

I personally find inspiration from a number of places, shows on TV, movies, people's life, a conversation, an interesting tidbit on the news.

Pregnancy Plan was developed from a story about a woman who wanted to get pregnancy and used a turkey baster to impregnate herself.

The men in the office where I worked enjoyed coming up with names for the child.

My little butterball, Tom, etc.

But the point is inspiration can come from anywhere, you just have to be open to the story.
