My Top Five Southern California #Golf Course for Under $100 #Travel @GCMorningDrive #SouthernCal

I’m a big fan of the Golf Channel.  Matt Ginella, just came out with his top golf course to play in the US. Would love to play all of them.

The price of most of the course are a little out of my price range so I decided to come up with my own list of course that I enjoy playing in Southern California for less than $100.

There is my list.

DSCN9066[1]

  1. Glen Ivy – This par 72 course, designed by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson Sr., is as pleasing to the eye as it is challenging. Woven through the groves of citrus trees and the hillsides and canyons along the Cleveland National Forest.

This course wins the top spot for the 18th hole which is not to be missed.  It has a vertical drop 200 feet. The last time, we played this course the lake was being reworked on the 18th hole, but this is a fun course.

Oak Quarry, Ca

2. Oak Quarry Golf Club is a thrilling 18 hole championship golf course, masterfully designed by Dr. Gil Morgan/Schmidt-Curley Design.
This course has great views with wide fairways. During the summer it can be a hot place to play so make sure to bring along cooling rags.

This has some beautiful scenery with a challenging course.

DSCN9720

3. Red Hawk – Rated 7th Best among California`s public golf courses Redhawk Golf Course in Temecula has what it takes to impress. The gently contoured course presents a wonderful challenge for golfers of just about every aptitude.

We happen to play this course on a cold January morning. Because of the cool weather and the light wind, it made for a challenging adventure, but overall, we had a great time.

Goose Creek 1 (11)

4. Goose Creek – Nestled into the Hidden Valley Wildlife Area and meandering along the Santa Ana River, this beautifully manicured course is a golfer’s golf course. The greens are fast with a great layout and conditions that offer a challenging par 71 course along a demanding 6,556 yards. The Schmidt/Curely designed course will sufficiently challenge the experienced golfer while still allowing the novice golfer to enjoy oneself.

Challenging course which I enjoyed playing.

Morongo Golf Legends

5. The Legends Course at Morongo, designed by noted architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, is a dramatically beautiful layout and features riparian streams and is flush with oak woodlands. It is defined by its classic style of bunkering and dramatic elevation changes.

The rough the day we played the course was long, but it didn’t take away from the pleasure of playing the course.

So if you are ever in Southern California, you might want to check out these courses.

I’d also love to hear about course you like to play under $100 in your area.

Here’s to playing more golf,

Tina
