Traveling - What's On the Side of the Road? #Badlands @SouthDakota #NationalParks #Travel

Have you been to South Dakota?

Driven down highway 90 on your way to Mount Rushmore or maybe Devil's Tower?

Did you see the signs for the Badlands?

The loop road is one of the best ways to take a slight detour and discover a world of wonders.

Most people believe that the trip will only take them a half-hour or less, but the amazing landscape quickly draws you in with its beauty.

The unique vistas reach the sky and leave you eager to see more. With every turn, there is something new to see. The color near the yellow mounds created by the geological scenery turns the trip into a happy hunting grounds for new delights.

Unable to resist the spectacular terrain in front of you, the desire to absorb the beauty prompts you to stop. The many photo opportunities compel a person to take not only one but multiple pictures.

Excited by the view, the landscape compels you down short trails that lead to treasures that relaxes and draws you in with its natural beauty. And don’t forget the chance encounters with wildlife. Big horn sheep, bison, prairie dogs and other animals call this land home.

So, if you are in South Dakota, and see a sign to visit the Badlands, take a few minutes, or perhaps a few hours, to discover a place that will inspire you to take more trips off the beaten path.
