No, I have to Have Silence #MFRWauthor #writing

Doing the Marketing for Romance Writers - 52 week Blob Challenge.

Now I know lots of authors write to music.

For me this does not work. I begin listening to the music and stop writing.

While writing, I'm in another world and everything in that world, including the noise is in my head. I don't like to mix the two so I write in a quiet environment.

Luckily, no one else is home so this isn't too hard to do, but even when I have people around I lock the door of my office and keep it quiet.

Make sure to read the post from other authors doing the challenge.

I can write with or without music but on my most restless days music helps me ignore other distractions. I do tend to write better.

I don't have to have music, but I need some sort of noise in the background otherwise my mind starts to wander. Yeah it's strange like that, but being too quiet I start to over listen for sounds like I'm expecting a break in or something. LOL

I don't always need to have music, but something as a distraction helps. Maybe that explains why I am so productive while in waiting rooms, doctors offices, hospital waiting rooms. I need a new place to write.
